SAFETY & SECURITY FILM SERIES

StormShield™ Impact Protection Film

A clear, impact-resistant safety film engineered to help strengthen existing glass and reduce hazards from breakage. StormShield™ creates a protective barrier that helps hold shattered glass in place—improving safety from accidents, break-ins, and flying debris from everyday incidents.

  • Helps retain broken glass and reduce injury from shards
  • Increases resistance to break-ins and forced-entry attempts
  • Available in 4, 6, 8, and 12 mil constructions
  • Tested to ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201 safety glazing standards

StormShield™ Impact FAQ

Does this film stop break-ins?

It significantly increases the effort required to breach glass and helps delay intruders, but no window film can make glass unbreakable.

Is this the same as hurricane film?

No. StormShield™ Impact is for safety and security—not hurricane protection. A separate StormShield Hurricane System page covers code-related installations.

Does the film change how the glass looks?

No—StormShield™ is engineered to be optically clear with minimal visual change.

Do I need an anchoring system?

Anchoring increases performance for security applications. Glass Wrap evaluates each opening to determine if it is recommended.
